CNC Milling Lead Programmer & Shop-Floor Coach

Werko Machine Company is scaling up to meet growing demand for custom and high‑precision parts, and we’re bringing on a CNC Milling Lead to guide programming, setups, and operator development inside our climate‑controlled 18,000 sq. ft. facility in Pennsauken, NJ.What your first week looks likeTranslate prints and GD&T into efficient toolpaths in CAM, then prove them out on the floor.Decide workholding, tooling, and machining sequences that balance accuracy and throughput.Set up and run Haas 3–4 axis VMCs, dialing in offsets, feeds, and speeds to nail tight tolerances.Coach operators through setup/changeover and share best practices for repeatable results.Own first‑article and in‑process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges.Partner with the team to keep the schedule moving and the workflow consistent.This is a hands‑on leadership position—not a desk‑only programming job.Role responsibilitiesProgram, set up, and operate CNC milling equipmentAssist operators with setups, tooling choices, and continuous improvementsInterpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T to plan machining strategiesDetermine workholding, tooling selection, and cut orderPerform first‑article and in‑process inspections; verify dimensional accuracyTroubleshoot issues; adjust offsets, feeds, and speeds as neededSupport production scheduling and maintain workflow consistencyUphold professional communication and organized shop practicesWhat you bringStrength in troubleshooting, CNC programming, and CNC setup/changeoverExperience with multi‑axis CNC machines (preferred)Comfort with CAD/CAM softwareBackground producing custom or high‑precision componentsLarge horizontal boring mill experience is a plusSchedule & compensationHours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PMPay: $34 – 38 per hourBenefits: Pension plan / 401 K, Life Insurance, 2 weeks PTO + sick leaveTools & techCNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) — HaasCAM: Autodesk Fusion 360
