Cardiac Sonographer

Job Description This position will be responsible for independently performing echo procedures in our clinical settings. The ideal candidate must have experience in performing Adult Echos, the ideal candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Essential Functions of the Role:• Perform echocardiograms, M-mode, and Doppler evaluations on patients to evaluate cardiac functioning• Follow physician protocols to ensure accuracy for each patient• Capture images using ultrasound imaging technology for review by cardiologists• Monitor patient conditions during the echocardiogram procedure• Explain the echocardiogram procedure to patients prior to the test• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment• Calibrate and clean equipment after each use• Maintain patient records in accordance with Privacy and HIPAA regulations• Document findings and results of echocardiograms• Work with cardiologists to provide patient care and supportMinimum Qualifications:Prefer at least 1 year of experience in echocardiographyMust have completed an Echo Technologist course of training,RDCS or RCS CertificationCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) is requiredWork EnvironmentClinical office 8-hour Day shift Monday -FridayPhysical RequirementsThis position requires full range of body motion.
