Product Scientist – Protein Production

Astor Scientific is seeking a highly motivated Product Scientist with experience in protein production, protein expression, and biologics workflows to support our growing life science product portfolio. This role will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to develop and optimize products used in biotech and academic laboratories.ResponsibilitiesSupport development and optimization of recombinant protein production workflowsAssist with protein expression, purification, and characterization projectsProvide technical expertise for cell culture media, reagents, and biologics-related productsCollaborate with sales and marketing teams on product positioning and technical supportAnalyze product performance and customer feedback to improve product qualityPrepare technical documentation, protocols, and application notesQualificationsMS or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related fieldExperience with mammalian or bacterial protein expression systemsHands-on experience in protein purification and analytical techniquesStrong understanding of biologics and cell culture workflowsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience in biotech, CRO, CDMO, or life science reagent industryKnowledge of antibodies, recombinant proteins, or cell culture mediaFamiliarity with GMP or manufacturing environments is a plus
