Role: Network Support EngineerLocation: Hybrid - Tuesday/Wednesday in office (Rosemead). Additional days if needed.Contract: 1 year - potential for contract duration to be extendedWe're looking for a highly experienced (mid level) Network Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies. You'll be responsible for deploying, upgrading, and maintaining a large-scale enterprise network, supporting clients across data centers, field sites, and secure corporate environments. This role blends technical leadership with day-to-day operational support and design work. Key Responsibilities:Lead deployment and migration of Cisco switches (Catalyst 3650, 9300) and routers (ASR 1001X, IE 4000) across 50+ locations.Replace and refresh outdated infrastructure (Cisco 2911, ME 3600) as part of ongoing network modernization.Support Grid, Enterprise, and Corporate Security networks, including field, industrial, and dam surveillance environments.Configure advanced Layer 2 and 3 technologies (VLANs, SVI, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IP subnetting) for QA and production systems.Manage IOS image upgrades, device lifecycle, and ensure compliance with internal standards.Use Visio to design and update network topologies; manage IP address allocation using Infoblox and Active Directory IPAMS.Coordinate installations, open CRQs, and resolve tickets through BMC Remedy.Conduct post-deployment validation with tools such as NETMRI and CA Spectrum.Provide both remote and on-site support, collaborating with field technicians and internal stakeholders.Required Skills & Qualifications:7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineeringknowledge in subnetting and routing protocolsDemonstrates strong personal accountability and consistently applies full effort to deliver high-quality work without cutting cornersDeep knowledge of Cisco routing/switching hardware: Catalyst 3650/9300/4500/9500, ASR 1001X, ME 3600, IE 4000Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, subnetting, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)Familiarity with data center and industrial networksExperience with network tools: Visio, Infoblox, IPAMS, BMC Remedy, NETMRI, CA SpectrumExcellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skillsCCNP (or higher, such as CCIE) strongly preferredEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
