Salary commensurate with experience*Overview:Location: Hybrid - CaliforniaSalary: $150,000 - $175,000We are seeking a Project Manager who will support our client to lead SaaS implementation efforts for public sector technology modernization initiatives. This role will oversee planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of complex systems that improve operational efficiency and replace low-tech or manual processes. The ideal candidate is a PMP-certified project leader with recent experience managing $1M+ SaaS implementations for public sector organizations and a strong ability to keep cross-functional teams aligned.Duties: Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of SaaS implementation projects, including scope, schedule, budget, resource planning, and change management.Develop, maintain, and manage project plans, work breakdown structures, timelines, issue logs, risk registers, decision logs, and status reports.Coordinate cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, technical resources, vendors, and leadership to keep implementation activities aligned and on schedule.Facilitate project meetings, sprint or milestone reviews, workshops, and executive briefings; document outcomes, action items, owners, and deadlines.Monitor project performance against milestones, deliverables, budget, and quality expectations; escalate risks and recommend mitigation strategies as needed.Oversee key implementation activities such as requirements validation, configuration, testing, data migration, training, deployment readiness, and go-live support.Support stakeholder communications and adoption planning to promote readiness for new systems, processes, and operational changes.Ensure project deliverables meet defined requirements, documentation standards, and applicable governance or compliance expectations.Mandatory Qualifications:Associates degree or combination of education and experience4+ years of experience (in the last seven (7) years) as the Project Manager of at least one (1) SaaS system implementation project with a minimum value of $1 million2+ years of experience (in the last seven (7) years) as the Project Manager for implementation of Salesforce in a public sector environment.4+ years of experience (in the last seven (7) years) as the Project Manager for SaaS system implementation projects servicing Public Sector organizations.Current PMP certification from PMI or other project management certifications from a nationally-recognized educational body (proof of certification required).Desirable Qualifications: 1+ year of experience (in the last seven (7) years) managing the implementation of new solution(s) to modernize low-tech and/or manual processes.3+ years of experience (in the last seven (7) years) as the Project Manager for SaaS system implementation projects servicing State, Federal, or local government agencies in the United States.6+ years of experience (in the last seven (7) years) as the Project Manager of at least one (1) SaaS system implementation project with a minimum value of $1 million.Cloud and Things complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding recruitment and hiring.
