Job Description Unarmed Security GuardSHIFT: 1:00pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday25 hours a weekJob Duties:· Monitor CCTV and access control systems for the facility.· Patrols on foot assigned areas around the building checking for vandalism, and suspicious activities or persons.· Investigate and reports suspicious or unusual activity or circumstances and informs supervisor.· Checks doors and windows of buildings and, in general, ensures all premises are safe and secure.· Assists visitors who require directions or general information.· Escorts people to their desired destination inside office building when required.· Determines when an incident requires a written report and submits the reports to his/her supervisor.· Unlocks building or doors after checking identification and compliance with client regulations or procedures.· May assist law enforcement officers with crowd control or surveillance at public events.· Keep mental alertness and attention to detail, no matter the circumstances.· Follow established security protocols while using initiative and good judgment.· Generate reports and access security related information.· Make common sense decisions and exercise action during high tension and stressful situations.· Maintain a neat and professional appearance and interact in a positive and professional manner to all employees, consultants and vendors on site.• Office Building setting in St Petersburg FL· Perform other duties as assigned. Hiring Requirements- You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)· Valid State of Florida Security D License· Veterans, Previous Law Enforcement, Retirees welcomed to apply· Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check· Must be able to work standard hours there are opportunities to make extra money with occasional weekends and/or evenings for events with advance notice.
