Responsibilities include accurate medical record maintenance, serving as a supervisory physician for mid-level providers and residents as required, and performing additional duties consistent with the role and scope of practice.Primary Functions Perform comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations Develop and implement diagnostic, preventive, educational, and treatment plans in accordance with accepted medical standards Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures Make appropriate referrals to specialists and ancillary services Maintain accurate and timely patient records Adhere to established charting and documentation protocols Coordinate continuity of care across healthcare services Promote health through patient education on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention Administer immunizations and vaccinations as indicated Perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice Report deaths and communicable diseases to appropriate governmental authorities Complete additional responsibilities as assignedEducation and Experience Doctoral degree (MD or DO) Minimum of five years of clinical experience Minimum of two years of clinical teaching experience preferred Current state medical license in good standing Board certified or board eligible DEA registration and state controlled substance registrationKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team Ability to perform under pressure in a clinical environment Computer literacy and proficiency with electronic medical records
