Mold Setter Direct Hire (Day Shift) Lafayette, IN About the Role: The Mold Setter is tasked with the setup, changeover, and upkeep of molds utilized in the production of automotive parts. The successful candidate will ensure the correct installation of molds, facilitate seamless production operations, and uphold stringent quality and safety protocols. Core Responsibilities: Install, replace, and properly secure molds in accordance with production timelines. Calibrate molding machinery and associated equipment to guarantee optimal performance. Conduct elementary problem solving and implement necessary modifications. Examine molds for deterioration, impairment, or flaws, and communicate any concerns. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to safety regulations and company guidelines consistently. Collaborate effectively with production and maintenance staff to decrease interruptions. Keep the workspace tidy and systematically arranged. Required Qualifications: Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent. Demonstrated background in mold setting or injection molding is highly desirable. Prior involvement in an automotive manufacturing setting is considered advantageous. Proficiency in interpreting work directives and employing fundamental measuring instruments. Possess a robust mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for precision.
