Software Engineer 4 – Senior Python / Infrastructure AutomationLocation: Irving, TX – Las ColinasWork Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remoteContract: 6 monthsEmployment Type: W2Interview Process: 2 rounds – Technical/Peer Interview + Manager InterviewAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer / Software Engineer 4 to join an infrastructure development organization focused on delivering automation solutions for a large-scale enterprise environment.This role will focus on developing infrastructure and network automation, building API-driven integrations, and creating scalable solutions for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of load-balancing infrastructure.The ideal candidate has strong experience with Python, Django/Flask/FastAPI, React, REST APIs, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation, with experience working with network platforms or load-balancing technologies highly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and build automation to streamline provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of load balancers.Develop API-driven integrations between network platforms and internal systems.Build scalable automation frameworks that improve reliability and reduce operational effort.Translate manual infrastructure and operational procedures into codified, repeatable automation.Develop backend services using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.Build responsive user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.Design and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.Develop cloud-native applications using Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Cloud Foundry.Participate in CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile development practices.Troubleshoot complex production and non-production issues.Ensure solutions meet quality, security, compliance, and engineering standards.Collaborate with infrastructure, network, application, and engineering teams.Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues.Required Qualifications5+ years of Software Engineering experience.5+ years of professional Python development experience.Strong experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.4+ years of React/front-end development experience.3+ years of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps experience.2+ years of API development experience.1+ year of cloud-native application development experience using OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Cloud Foundry.Preferred QualificationsFull-stack software development experience.Strong React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS experience.Experience developing backend services using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices.Experience with SQL databases and database design.Experience building infrastructure, network, or operational automation.Experience with load balancers or load-balancing technologies, such as F5/BIG-IP.Experience integrating network platforms through APIs.Familiarity with API management platforms such as Apigee.Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Cloud Foundry.Experience with Postman or similar API development/testing tools.Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of networking, PKI/certificates, cryptography, or key management.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Work ArrangementVisa sponsorship is not available.Relocation assistance is not available.
