The Stock Lead is responsible for overseeing the flow of merchandise, maintaining an organized and efficient stockroom, and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and visually appealing. This role also involves leading and training stock associates, supporting inventory accuracy, and working closely with store leadership to optimize merchandise availability. Location: Kansas City International Ai Schedule: Weekend availability is required Pay: $19.00/HR. BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceEmployer-Paid Life InsuranceDisability InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401(k) with company matchEmployee Discount Job Responsibilities Lead and train stock associates, ensuring team efficiency and accuracy in handling merchandiseReceive, inspect, and transfer merchandise with precision and attention to detailOversee inventory management, including stocking, replenishment, and organization of merchandiseMaintain clear communication with store leadership regarding inventory levels, product availability, and restocking needsEnsure all merchandise is properly displayed on the sales floor, maintaining full size and color representationKeep the stockroom and sales floor organized, ensuring shelves, racks, and displays are neat, labeled, and visually appealingAssist customers and team members in locating merchandise, demonstrating product knowledge and excellent customer serviceUtilize inventory management and POS systems to track stock levels, process transfers, and maintain inventory accuracyIdentify and resolve inventory discrepancies, markdowns, or pricing errors in coordination with store leadershipEnforce safety and loss prevention protocols, ensuring compliance with company policiesSupport overall store operations, visual merchandising, and floor presentationPerform additional duties as assigned by management Job Requirements 1+ year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or retail inventory management preferred.Previous leadership or training experience is a plusStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks efficientlyAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environmentProficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with POS or inventory management systemsAbility to lift and move merchandise up to 60 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodationTAM Card (Alcohol Beverage Awareness Certification) may be required, depending on locationSecurity clearance may be required, depending on job dutiesEmployment may be contingent upon passing background checks and/or drug screening, where permitted by law Additional Requirements Occasional sittingFrequent standing, walking, climbing, crouching, bending, pushing, or pullingNormal or corrected vision and hearingCan distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns, or materials to review merchandiseFluency in English is required for training, customer interactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and proceduresTypically, indoorsTypically, in a consistent temperatureOccasionally outdoorsOccasionally exposed to varying degrees of hot and cold environmentsUse of fine motor hand functionsLift approximately 50+ lbs.Use of fine motor hand function About Us WHSmith is a leading global travel retailer with over 1,700 stores across 30 countries worldwide.
