Structural Detailer / Engineering Technician

Job Description We are in need of multiple Structural Detailers in Kansas City, MO. In this position, you will be responsible for building structural steel construction models and creating parts, fabrication, and installation drawings for large manufacturing plants. Structural plate and mild steel drafting and detailing experience is preferred. AutoCAD is required. Tekla is preferred. Required:Minimum Education & Experience QualificationsAssociate or 2-year technical degree or 2 additional years of relevant experience or completion of BlueScope Buildings Drafting Program in lieu of degreeProficient in Algebra and TrigonometryPC competence (Including Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Listening Action oriented Functional and technical skills Drive for results Self-development Customer focus Integrity and trust Technical learning Perseverance Ethics and values Problem solving Time management Peer relationships Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications Bachelor's degree Some Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) or conventional steel experience CAD training (preferred only) Job Details: Detail building parts and create fab drawings from engineering design and project noteCreate erection drawings, approval drawings, permit drawings, and anchor rod drawingsDevelops own basic product and procedure knowledge and improves technical knowledgeUploads parts and edit parts into the manufacturing system and releases to manufacturingCollaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient mannerAssures customer service needs are met by meeting schedulesFocuses on achieving department objective and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high-performance work team Job Requirements Tekla Meet Your Recruiter Christy Loudermilk
