ControllerPosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced Accounting Controller to lead the financial operations of a multi-property hotel and resort portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, with a strong emphasis on high-volume point-of-sale (POS) transaction reconciliation, daily cash controls, and multi-entity financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach, deep hospitality accounting experience, and the ability to manage complexity across multiple revenue streams.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations across multiple hotel and resort properties, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reportingManage and ensure accurate daily reconciliation of high-volume POS transactions across outlets (restaurants, bars, retail, spa, events, etc.)Implement and maintain strong internal controls around cash handling, revenue recognition, and audit complianceSupervise property-level accounting teams and ensure consistency in processes and reporting standardsLead month-end and year-end close processes, including consolidation of multiple entitiesAnalyze variances, identify discrepancies, and resolve reconciliation issues in a timely mannerPartner with operations teams to ensure accurate revenue capture and reporting across all systemsOversee bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and treasury-related activitiesCoordinate with external auditors and support annual audits and tax filingsEvaluate and improve accounting systems, POS integrations, and reporting workflows for efficiency and accuracyEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable hospitality accounting standardsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or senior leadership role within hospitality or multi-unit retailStrong experience managing high-volume POS environments and daily transaction reconciliationProven experience overseeing multi-entity or multi-property accounting structuresProficiency with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and POS platforms (e.g., Micros, Toast, or equivalent)Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilitiesExceptional attention to detail and ability to manage large data volumesStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionallyPreferred Experience:Background in hotel, resort, or hospitality group environmentsExperience with system integrations between POS, PMS, and accounting platformsFamiliarity with revenue management and hospitality-specific KPIsWhy Join Us:This is an opportunity to play a critical leadership role within a growing hospitality organization, helping to build scalable financial processes and ensure operational excellence across a diverse property portfolio.
