In this role, you'll have the opportunity to use your vast experience in the industry and apply it to solving today's challenges. As part of our team, you'll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design.You'll deliver multiple projects simultaneously across a wide range of electrical engineering capabilities, including power system planning, power distribution, lighting design, vertical transportation, and construction coordination.As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll lead design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls, prepare load analysis for different stages of design, oversee the preparation of drawings detailing system design, prepare basis of design reports, prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms, design grounding and lightning protection, design redundant electrical systems, mitigate hazardous area concerns, select equipment and fixtures for use in the building, coordinate design with engineers and architects of other disciplines, and facilitate construction administration.This position typically includes limited travel commitments in support of project designs to visit with clients and develop an understanding of their needs as part of a broader design team. This position emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and teamwork.As a part of the Jacobs team, you'll also have access to our worldwide network of engineering excellence and technical delivery experts to further your knowledge of the industry and grow in your professional development.Here's what you'll needBachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (P.E.) licenseUnited States CitizenshipMinimum of 10 years of experience working in a corporate or consulting environment in an electrical engineering capacityFamiliarity with ICC & NEC Building CodesExperience working on industrial buildings, data centers, power, UPS systems, and generator systemsExposure to medium voltage (and high voltage) system design [KB2.1]Basic Skills in Revit and 3D CADDDemonstrated ability to mentor and develop future engineersStrong technical focus in industrial engineering applicationsWillingness to take independent initiative, demonstrate creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, and dedication to teamworkIdeally, you'll also have:Experience supporting sales pursuits and early phase concept developmentExposure to mission critical concepts for healthcare, datacenters, industrial and/or transportationPast performance in quality control review rolesAn appreciation for travel in support of projects and sales pursuits (scalable to your life).#LI-KS7Posted Salary Range: Minimum102,900.00Posted Salary Range: Upper180,100.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
