Electrical Engineer

**Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident** Unable to sponsor of any kind**No Third-Party or C2C Firms**An Electrical Engineer responsible for the engineering and design of power distribution, lighting and grounding systems on industrial projects.Locations Position is Open in:Greenville, SCRaleigh, NCSalt Lake City, UTMobile, ALBirmingham, ALKansas City, MOAppleton, WISavannah, GARequired:Experience with design/installation of medium and low-voltage distribution equipment, with experience in consulting engineering and construction industryStrong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA)Able to handle onsite plant projects with minimal supervisionOrganized with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and operate within budgets and work directly with client engineers and maintenance teams.Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.Capability with CAD systems including AutoCADResponsibilities:Responsible for the checking of electrical design packages.Design power system facilities and equipment and coordinate construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generating, receiving, and distribution stations, and distribution systems and equipmentDevelop conceptual layouts and sketches to drive the most efficient design on a project-by-project basisParticipate in the planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of electrical engineering projectsDevelop equipment specificationsDevelop construction specifications and contractor scope of work documentsDirects preparation of or prepares drawings and specific type of equipment and materials to be used, in construction and equipment installationInspects completed installations for conformance with design and equipment specifications and safety standardsWork products will include: one-line diagrams, wiring drawings, panel layout drawings, motor schematics, instrument loop sheets, conduit and tray routing drawings and contractor scope documentsWork with systems and equipment grounding requirements (high resistance, building and isolated grounding)Provide on-site start up supportPay: $60/hr. - $80/hr.At The Planet Group, we connect Engineering experts with opportunities that match their skills, goals, and ambition.
