Controller

*Controller* We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations in a fast-paced construction environment. This role oversees financial reporting, job costing, payroll, inventory tracking, and select HR functions, while partnering with leadership to drive profitability and operational performance. *Key Responsibilities* * Oversee accounting operations: GL, AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting * Manage job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion revenue * Oversee inventory tracking and cost control across materials, equipment, and supplies * Lead monthly close, financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting * Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls * Partner with project managers and leadership on financial performance * Manage cash flow, banking relationships, audits, and tax coordination * Supervise and develop accounting staff *Payroll, HR & Admin Oversight* * Oversee payroll for field and office employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance * Ensure compliance with multi-state and (if applicable) certified/prevailing wage payroll * Support employee onboarding, benefits coordination, and system setup * Assist with HR administration including employee records, policies, and labor cost tracking * Align payroll, HR, and accounting systems for accurate reporting *Qualifications* * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred) * 10+ years of experience, including: * Construction (required) * Manufacturing and/or logistics (preferred) * Strong expertise in job costing, WIP, and construction accounting * Experience with inventory management and cost tracking systems * Experience with ERP systems (Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation, or similar) * Payroll and labor cost management experience preferred * Proven leadership and strong analytical skills *What We Offer* * Competitive salary + bonus * Health, dental, vision insurance * 401(k) with match * PTO + holidays *Why Join Us?* Join a growing construction company in Orlando where you’ll have direct impact on financial performance and strategic decision-making.
