Monticello consistently ranks in the top 50 school districts in the state as measured by a number of organizations and metrics, and performs above the state average in graduation rates, test scores, and early college opportunities.Coordinator - Special EducationSherburne Northern Wright Cooperative1.0FTE Position (Expected location: Monticello Secondary)Available: July 1, 2025Job SummaryResponsible for providing leadership and special education expertise to teachers, paraprofessionals, principals, district administrators and the communities within the Sherburne and Northern Wright Special Education Cooperative to ensure that all students with disabilities are identified and served appropriately. This includes staff recruitment, development and evaluation, program planning, implementation and evaluation. This is all done in collaboration with building principals, district administration and staff. Requires strong working knowledge of special education rules and regulations as the individual serves as the go-to special education expert. Responsible for overseeing special education staff.
