Quick Job Snapshot Position: Med/Surg Telemetry RN / Travel RN (Registered Nurse) Location: Lancaster, SC 29720 — short-term acute care hospital (South Carolina travel nursing job) Contract: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026) Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM); manager accepts 3x12 or 4x12 Hours per week: 36 Patient ratio: 1:6–1:7 Charting / EMR: Epic Weekly estimated pay: $1,680 – $1,770 Why This Travel RN Job Work in a vibrant community hospital with strong interdisciplinary support. Required Qualifications (Med/Surg Tele RN) Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience required; Telemetry experience (interpretation and dysrhythmia management) strongly preferred. Travel RN experience required (first-time travelers not accepted). Active South Carolina RN license OR Compact RN license in-hand prior to start. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required. PCU or step-down experience strongly preferred. Must complete all assigned orientation and e-learning modules before start date and attend required staff meetings. Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered). Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit. Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid clinical changes. Maintain accurate documentation and clinical notes in Epic electronic medical record. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy. Float to PCU or similar units as needed to support patient care and unit staffing. Adhere to hospital policies and emergency response protocols, including hurricane season preparedness (June–November).
