Surgical Patient Care Technician (Hiring Immediately)

Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Under the supervision of a provider, assists and performs a variety of patient care duties and adheres to performance expectations of all defined services or related duties for the clinics of MercyOne Northeast IA.PostingWhat you will Do:Analyze records for completeness and patient history.Prepare exam/procedure rooms and equipment for patient care.Greet, identify patient and prepare patient for exam while protecting patient's privacy.Review/document current medication and allergiesTake vital signs, obtain chief complaints, history, and documents.Assist provider with routine procedures and provide patient care as directed by provider (i.e., immunizations, spirometry, injections, EKG, nebulizer, ear washing, wart removal)Assist providers with patient care via phone, mail and/or fax.Communicate effectively between provider and patient.Hours/Schedule:64 hours biweekly (0.8 FTE)Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDLPN license or Medical Assistant DiplomaPosition Highlights and BenefitsPersonalized Health Insurance Plans – coverage effective first day of employmentRetirement plan with company matchPaid time offEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) & Wellness programsMinistry/Facility Information:MercyOne Northeast Iowa provides expert health care to eight counties.
