Our People & Culture team plays a critical role in supporting that mission by building a great place to work.Role OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced Part-Time HR Generalist to join our People & Culture team. This role is hands-on and varied. You’ll own payroll processing, benefits coordination, multi-state compliance, onboarding, and day-to-day HR generalist functions. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment. Although this position is remote, you must live in Utah.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruiting Post and manage job openings across multiple job boards and platformsScreen applicants and conduct initial phone screensSchedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managersMaintain candidate tracking and disposition records in our ATS (Rippling)PayrollProcess payroll across multiple pay cadences and multiple EINs with a high degree of accuracyAudit timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies prior to each payroll runSupport state tax registration and employer account setup when expanding into new statesAssist with payroll compliance issues, including multi-state wage and hour requirementsIdentify and escalate payroll discrepancies or compliance risks proactivelyHR GeneralistSupport onboarding and offboarding processes, including Rippling workflows and documentationMaintain and update HR documents, job descriptions, policies, and employee recordsAssist with employee relations inquiries and escalate as appropriateCoordinate employee training sessions, including scheduling and participation trackingSupport ad-hoc People & Culture projects as neededQualifications3+ years of experience in an HR generalist or HR coordinator roleHands-on payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environmentExperience with full-cycle recruiting coordinationProficiency with HRIS systems; Rippling experience strongly preferredStrong working knowledge of HR compliance across multiple statesExceptional attention to detail; accuracy in payroll processing is critical to this roleStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesAbility to handle confidential information with discretionStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in a healthcare or mental health setting is a plusMust live in UtahJob DetailsType: Part-Time, HourlyHours: Approximately 20-25 hours per week (flexible schedule)Pay Rate: $30–$35/hr, depending on experienceLocation: Remote- UtahWhat We OfferA supportive and collaborative work environmentA mission-driven organization that makes a positive impact on people’s livesFlexible scheduling to support work-life balanceAt Stella, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential values that must be embedded in everything we do.
