Dog Groomer

Overview: Willow's Groomer is a professional dog grooming shop in Oviedo, FL and we are looking for a groomer. We are looking for passionate animal lovers with grooming skills, who are looking for a professional, family-type of environment where we love and care about every pet that comes to us. We believe in treating every pet like we would want someone else to take care of ours and strive to serve our clients as more than a business transaction. We believe every dog should be pampered, clean, beautiful, happy, and safe! Pay is negotiable. Dog Groomer Responsibilities and Duties include ,but are not limited to: ● Professional grooming techniques for a variety of dog breeds and/or cats. ● Perform grooming services, including nail clipping, hand scissoring, medicated and general cleansing, flea and tick control baths, pedicures, and ear cleaning, as requested for each pet ● Ability and stamina to groom and bathe 5-7 dogs per day. ● Groom animals utilizing techniques which vary depending on the type of hair, coat, breed and owner instructions ● Perform all general maintenance of grooming room; clean cages, tubs, grooming tables; vacuum floor; empty trash; clean clipper blades, scissors, and brushes after use. ● Enjoys working closely with other team members. ● Hourly inculdes PTO and paid holidays ● W-2 Position Dog Groomer Qualifications and Skills: ● 2 years of Pet Stylist/Pet Grooming experience preferred with the completion of pet grooming program ● Excellent verbal communication skills ● Customer Service oriented ● Must be familiar with standard grooms for all breeds, including puppy cuts. ● Must be proficient in hand scissoring techniques, as well as using various tools of the trade. ● Must love working with animals. ● Must be reliable, a team player with a positive attitude and must have a great work ethic. ● Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients. ● Spanish speaker is a plus. ● Please provide groomer experience, resume and portfolio, if available, when applying Job Type: Full-time Pay: $700.00 - $900.00 per week Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Tools provided Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift No nights Experience: Pet grooming: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
