Cloud Engineer

Overview In this role you design, build and operate cloud-native infrastructure that enables teams across Millennium to deploy workloads safely and reliably at scale. You apply the AWS Well-Architected framework to drive excellence in operations, security, and performance while shaping cost-efficient platforms. You’ll implement IaC, CI/CD, and platform best practices, collaborating with engineers to support a secure, scalable cloud environment. You will also leverage automation to improve cost visibility and guide migration to strategic infrastructure. This is an opportunity to influence Millennium’s cloud-native footprint and platform maturity. ResponsibilitiesDesign cloud-native architecture solutions aligned with AWS Well-Architected pillarsBuild CI/CD pipelines for reliable deploymentsEstablish infrastructure-as-code practices for reproducibility and auditabilityCollaborate with software engineers to ensure secure, scalable platformsUse AI/automation to improve cloud cost visibility and migration planningDefine platform best practices to scale across the firm’s cloud-native footprintSupport business continuity planning and risk understanding across teams Key requirementsStrong AWS expertise: VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, ECS/EKS, networking, data lake architecturesHands-on Kubernetes experience, including multi-tenant container architecturesStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting with Python and/or Bash for toolingProficiency with Terraform and CloudFormation; GitOps and CI/CD platforms (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)Observability tooling experience (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years (or Master’s with 2 years) in cloud/infrastructure/DevOpsTechnical leadership with ability to drive architectural decisions and mentor othersDesire to deploy cutting-edge infrastructure in a fast-moving environmentTechnical leadershipStrong communication skillsProblem-solving abilityAWS (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, ECS/EKS)Kubernetes and multi-tenant container architecturesLinux administration
