Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical & Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, telemetry, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic charting system experience required BSN preferred. Candidates must be willing to float within scope if needed. Description: This position involves providing care to patients on a medical surgical/telemetry floor. Experience in a similar setting is required. The role requires managing patient care for a variety of medical diagnoses and surgical procedures. Duties include assisting with chest tube insertions, paracentesis, and thoracentesis. Nurses will be responsible for maintaining infection control precautions while delivering patient care. The patient ratio will typically be 4-6 patients per nurse. Daily census is expected to be between 15-18 patients. Interdisciplinary support is available through various departments, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Candidates must have experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and peripheral line care/management. Demonstrated ability to handle acute and chronic respiratory failures is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable with providing care for adult and geriatric populations. The facility requires all staff to comply with a flu vaccine policy, with exemptions available for medical and religious reasons.
