Their consumer brand, OIO, delivers biologically aligned light to support wake, focus, and rest cycles.Engineering & TechnologyRole OverviewHigh-ownership contract software engineering role building a wide range of software across the company using AI-assisted and agentic workflows. The engineer will co-create with the team and AI, take ideas from vague description to working software, and own real problems end-to-end.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild software across Korrus (internal tools to product surfaces) from idea to working application.Co-work with engineering team in AI-assisted and agentic AI workflows.Take problems from vague description to working solution independently.Partner with users to understand needs and ensure adoption.Work across full stack: backends, APIs, SQL, and clean interfaces.Help shape AI-first engineering practices.RequirementsSolid computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, systems).Strong Python skills; comfortable as a generalist across the stack.Ability to work from ambiguity without detailed specs.Fluency with modern AI coding tools and curiosity to learn more.Comfort with messy real-world data and legacy systems.Ability to understand non-engineer needs and earn trust.Bias to finish, ship, and ensure usage.Independent work ability with sound decisions.Preferred QualificationsPast internships, personal projects, hackathons, or open source work with real users.Experience with data pipelines, workflow automation, AWS, business/ERP systems, or mobile.Track record of building things on own initiative.Compensation & LogisticsFull-time contract, remote (US) with meaningful Pacific time overlap.Occasional travel for in-person sessions.$8,000 – $9,500 per month (depending on experience).How to ApplySend resume and 2–3 sentences describing something you built end-to-end (including what was hard), especially using AI tools.
