We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IBM i (AS/400) RPG & SQL Developer to join our IT/MIS team. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting business-critical applications in a manufacturing and distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RPG and SQL programming, a solid understanding of IBM i systems, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.Responsibilities: · Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using RPG (RPG III / RPG IV / Free-Form) and SQL on IBM i (AS/400) systems · Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions · Support order processing, fulfillment, and distribution system functionality · Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues in a timely manner · Collaborate with IT/MIS team members and business stakeholders on projects and system improvements · Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new features · Document programs, processes, and system changes Assist in maintaining data integrity and system performanceJob Requirements: · Minimum 2 consecutive years of RPG and SQL programming experience in an IBM i (AS/400) environment · Minimum 5 years of experience working within an IT, DP, or MIS team · Working knowledge of IBM i (AS/400) architecture, concepts, and operations Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent technical certification) · Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or order fulfillment environments · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills · Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs· Experience with additional programming languages beyond RPG (e.g., Java, .NET, Python) · Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) Understanding of EDI, integrations, or automation within distribution environments
