PL/SQL Support Engineer

Job Title: PL/SQL Database Support EngineerJob Type: ContractLocation: Dallas, TX, 75240Job Duration: 6 monthsPay rate: $60/hr- 65/hrJob Description:We are seeking a PL/SQL Database Support Engineer to provide production support for Oracle-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and PL/SQL expertise, experience troubleshooting production issues, and the ability to analyze logs, debug problems, and support mission-critical systems.Responsibilities:Provide production support for Oracle database applications.Troubleshoot application and database issues using SQL, PL/SQL, and log analysis.Investigate production incidents and perform root cause analysis.Develop and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, and functions.Support system integrations, APIs, and data flows.Work with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.Manage support tickets using JIRA.Participate in deployments and post-release validation.Requirements:Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.Experience supporting production environments.Ability to troubleshoot database and application issues.Experience with log analysis and debugging.Understanding of APIs and system integrations.Familiarity with JIRA or similar ticketing tools.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Nice to HaveShell scripting or Java.Experience supporting utility or energy industry applications.Exposure to cloud platforms, monitoring tools, or automation.Skills:SQLPL/SQLScriptingDebuggingSystem IntegrationsCommunication SkillsAnalytical ThinkingStakeholder Management
