PL/SQL Database Support Engineer

Job Overview: PENNEP is seeking an experienced PL/SQL Database Support Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. We are seeking a PL/SQL Database Support Engineer to provide production support for Oracle-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and PL/SQL expertise, experience troubleshooting production issues, and the ability to analyze logs, debug problems, and support mission-critical systems. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide production support for Oracle database applications. Troubleshoot application and database issues using SQL, PL/SQL, and log analysis. Investigate production incidents and perform root cause analysis. Develop and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, and functions. Support system integrations, APIs, and data flows. Work with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues. Manage support tickets using JIRA. Participate in deployments and post-release validation. Required Skills and Experience: Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Experience supporting production environments. Ability to troubleshoot database and application issues. Experience with log analysis and debugging. Understanding of APIs and system integrations. Familiarity with JIRA or similar ticketing tools. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have Shell scripting or Java. Experience supporting utility or energy industry applications. Exposure to cloud platforms, monitoring tools, or automation.
