Details Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a large regional medical center in Reno, NV Level III or higher NICU environment Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts One additional shift pickup required per scheduling period Floating to other units may be required, up to the traveler's competency level Call requirements to be discussed during interview 13-week contract Uses Epic for charting; training available during orientation or candidates may test out Requirements Active NV RN license required; candidates who have never held a NV temp or permanent license may be considered but must apply immediately upon offer Current AHA certifications: BLS and NRP Minimum 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level III NICU or higher Ventilator experience required Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Additional Information Provides comprehensive nursing care to NICU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation throughout the episode of care Coordinates care with other healthcare professionals and incorporates family into the care planning process Epic EMR is used for charting; orientation training is available, or candidates may test out A minimum of 2 major holidays will be required during the contract Blocked scheduling is not permitted Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must take a 13-week break after their last contract ends before returning RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration; no additional time is added to the end of the contract to compensate for approved RTO American Traveler Job ID P-687923.
