PROJECT PLANNER I
DescriptionSUMMARY: The Project Planner is responsible for the end-to-end execution of project planning deliverables, including design, application support, quality control, and order preparation across all represented product lines. This role performs the hands-on technical and production work required to move opportunities from pre-quote through order readiness.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The FollowingProject Design & Technical ExecutionProduce drawings, layouts, renderings, and plans using CET Designer, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other required toolsDesign solutions for office, warehouse, healthcare, military, and workplace environmentsEvaluate space constraints, user experience, product capability, and constructabilityRead and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specificationsRevise drawings and designs based on customer, sales, vendor, or internal feedbackSupport complex system upgrades, relocations, and reconfigurationsProduct & Application SupportServe as subject-matter expert on product applications, configurations, and limitationsAssist Sales during pre-planning and pre-quote stages to reduce revisions and delaysProvide guidance on product selection, logistics, installation considerations, and sequencingAct as liaison with external vendors to obtain technical data and application clarificationSupport specialty product lines including mobile shelving, modular millwork, lockers, interior systems, and storage solutionsSales & Internal CollaborationConfer with Sales to gather requirements, clarify scope, and support project strategyAttend project meetings to gain deeper understanding of customer needsCommunicate proactively regarding missing information, risks, or constraintsCoordinate with pricing, operations, and installation teams as requiredRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design, engineering, or space planningStrong experience with CET Designer, AutoCAD, Revit, and related softwareHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong math skills (geometry, measurements, pricing calculations)Experience in a sales-driven, project-based environmentProficiency in Excel and CRM systemsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesMicrosoft Excel and Adobe Product Suite experience a plus.Must have strong attention to detail.Must have the ability to manage a large workload on a consistent basis.Must have the ability to work well with others.Experience with SalesForce software a plus.Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
