Job DescriptionSalary Range:$52,432.12 - $79,705.60Works under general supervision to provide technical and operational support for total rewards (TR) programs, including compensation, benefits and retirement programs, position control maintenance, employee leave programs, and wellness initiatives. Provides day-to-day support for employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and wellness initiatives. Serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits enrollment, eligibility, and routine claims issues, escalating complex matters as appropriate. Assists with the administration of open enrollment activities, including preparing communications, coordinating enrollment timelines, reviewing submissions for accuracy, and responding to employee questions. Supports position control maintenance by reviewing position transactions for accuracy, preparing reports and materials for position control meetings, ensuring compliance with established guidelines, and routing items for review and approval. Assists with compensation-related activities by compiling data, supporting salary surveys and benchmarking efforts, and preparing routine compensation and total rewards reports under the direction of senior staff. Collects, tracks, and maintains data related to compensation, benefits, and wellness participation. Prepares routine reports on program utilization, costs, and participation trends. Maintains accurate and confidential records related to total rewards programs and ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesOTHER FUNCTIONS: Acts as Agency Manager in his or her absence as needed. Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.Typical Physical DemandsMust be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Requires the use of general office equipment, such as computers and telephones. Requires lifting and carrying objects up to 25 lbs., such as books, supplies, etc., traversing throughout the building, bending, stooping and reaching.Typical Working ConditionsWork is performed in a library environment. Occasional travel to meetings across the City and out-of-town may be required. Some evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required.QualificationsMaster's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited library school and one (1) year of related professional library experience; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university and two (2) years of related professional library experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions.
