Structural Engineer - Philadelphia

A well-established client of ours is currently seeking the expertise of an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team in Philadelphia, PA.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelops technical designs to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirementsPerforms engineering activities such as calculations, code research, material and building systems research, laying out components and calculation of program and building areas; refines the design options and develops engineering detailsEvaluates site conditions, including zoning requirements and site constraints; meet with authorities having jurisdiction to establish requirements.Performs site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifies deviations and liaises with owner and contactor to resolve issues promptlyRequired SkillsIs proficient in Engineering software skills, including AutoCAD, Revit, as well as structural calculation software (Including RAM Structural Systems, RAM Elements, RAM Connection, RAM Concept, RISA 3D, and WoodWorks)Engineering knowledge related to building structural systems (including steel, concrete, masonry and wood) and multiple building typesFamiliarity with architectural design concepts and building codes is requiredHave completed related post-secondary educationRegistered with a relevant professional engineering association is an assetAbility to communicate with clients (architects, contractors, developers, etc.)Ability to work independently, as well as manage a small team of engineers and/or drafters.Familiarity with construction administration and ability to independently answer RFIs and review shop drawings.Required Experience10-15 years of project work experienceExperience in Structural EngineeringIf you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or emailing your CV to engineers@rpo-recruit.us.comAlternatively, you are welcome to contact either Meghan Groves at 480-546-6432 or Dawn McIntyre at 480-546-6438.Please note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
