Linux Test Engineer

TITLE: Linux Test Engineer LOCATION: Remote OR Dallas Fort Worth, TX AreaAbout the role: As an experience Test, Software Engineer you will have a deep understanding of complex Linux base software architectures emphasizing IT security.What you will do:Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company productsDevelops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testingAnalyzes and writes test standards and proceduresMaintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of softwareAnalyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective actionConsults with development engineers in resolution of problemsProvides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation softwareEnsures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processingDeveloping professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issuesFull use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniquesProvides resolution to an assortment of problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factorsExercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionBuilds productive internal/external working relationships. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments; work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacyContributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectivesQualifications: Ability to obtain US-government-issued secret security clearanceUniversity degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience.Automation Testing using Linux shell scripting, Python or Bash scripting.Experience using common Linux commandsPreferred Qualifications: Experience with Lab Base Security Assessments.Experience using Zephyr Scale test case manager in JIRA.Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
