AI Solution Architect

Job Title: AI Solution Architect Location: Remote w/ travel to Buffalo, NY required every 4 to 6 weeks’ (mandatory – no exceptions); Travel & lodging expenses will be reimbursedDuration: 6+ month contractREQUIRED SKILLS & EXP.:Solution Architect for AI Acts as the solution architecture extension of the AI Enterprise Architect, translating enterprise conceptual, logical, and high-level physical designs into detailed physical designs for the Mythos AI platform.Guides and supports engineering teams in realizing core AI platform components, including model integration, access controls, APIs, and embedded AI capabilities within business applications, ensuring alignment with EA-defined platform patterns, guardrails, telemetry, and governance frameworks.Provides hands-on architecture guidance for AI platform capabilities, including:Model access and lifecycle integration (including SLM execution patterns)Telemetry and observability instrumentation for model usage, performance, and risk signalsGuardrail enforcement (policy controls, data protection, safe usage constraints)Integration patterns for embedding AI into enterprise applicationsTranslates model selection frameworks and decision trees into actionable design guidance, ensuring models are applied in a fit-for-purpose manner aligned with cost, performance, and risk objectives defined by EA.Partners closely with engineering teams throughout the SDLC—from initiation to production, providing design oversight, supporting implementation decisions, and ensuring adherence to architecture standards, scalability, security, and operational readiness.Applies and promotes secure engineering and reliability practices, including threat modeling, vulnerability mitigation, and alignment with observability and SRE capabilities.Collaborates with EA, platform engineering, and SRE teams to ensure consistent adoption of enterprise AI platform standards, while feeding implementation insights back into architecture pattern evolution.Travel to Buffalo, NY periodically required (every 4-6 weeks). Eastern/Central time zone preferred.Candidate must be knowledgeable in building AI solutions and have exceptional communication skills. Yes · Top notch communication skills are KEY – must be able to sit & speak w/ business & technology executives· Bruce manages the EA’s at M&T· Team size: 12 EA’s on the teams - this is an individual contributor role· Remote is fine as long as they are in ET or CT & can travel to Buffalo every 4 to 6 weeks’ as required (travel & lodging expenses reimbursed – fly in Sunday night, or Monday morning & fly out Thursday evening)· 6 months to start w/ possible extension to 1 yr., & conversion to hire at this point if the candidate is strong· Banking/Financial domains highly preferred (can also consider oil & gas, telecom, healthcare, insurance, & possibly some government domains)· Mon. to Fri. / 40 hours a week / standard business hoursFlex on the W2 pay rates (within reason – please submit at the rate candidate is seeking, nothing extremely higher than the target rates shared previously)No 10 page resumes will be reviewed
