Platform Infrastructure Engineer
Overview
In this role you will deploy and maintain platform infrastructure to support multiple applications, working onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable systems and oversee technical architecture. Your work will emphasize security, automation, and incident response within a government-focused environment. This is a hands-on position that offers impact through maintaining mission-critical platforms and on-call support.

ResponsibilitiesMonitor and optimize platform performance and implement fixesManage application integration using networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testingDevelop and maintain incident response plans and proceduresCreate automation scripts/tools for deployments and managementDeploy/manage machines with VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, CIS-CATConfigure host-based security systemsSupport IaC within RHEL containers using DevOps practicesUtilize monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, Solarwinds)Patch/manage systems with Red Hat Satellite ServerProvide hardware support for servers/workstationsKnowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a bonusOn-site presence five days/week; participate in on-call rotationsUS citizenship with Secret clearance; reside within commutable distanceThis is a government facility role with on-site requirements
