Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care surgical setting, requiring both OR and CVOR skillsets with a significant on-call commitment.Job Details• Acute care hospital surgical department with 6 OR suites plus a hybrid room, handling 20-30 cases per day,• Common cases include total joints, general surgery, spine, urology, and cardiovascular open heart cases - candidates must be skilled in both OR and CVOR,• Charting is done in Cerner EMR,• Primary shift is days, 0600-1430, Monday through Friday, with an alternating evening shift option of 1400-2230,• On-call is required: CVOR call covers up to 5-10 weeknights per 6-week period and up to 2 weekends per 6-week period (up to 50% of the time); call response time is 30 minutes,• Holiday call coverage required for 2-3 twelve-hour shifts per year,• RNs are not required to scrub; scrub techs are available on the unit,• Floating to other procedural areas such as Pre-Op or PACU is not required; rare non-clinical float tasks (e.g., delivering food trays, patient sitting) may occasionally be requested,Job Requirements• Active AZ or Compact (NLC) RN license required - pending licenses are not accepted,• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required - pending certifications are not accepted,• Minimum 1 year of full-time OR/CVOR experience required (2 years preferred),• Proficiency in both general OR and cardiovascular OR (CVOR) settings required,• Two professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,• Candidates must permanently reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates (permanent address verified by driver's license),Additional Information• Hospital-provided scrubs are supplied for this position,• Orientation consists of 3-5 shifts depending on caseload and case exposure; orientation hours total 12,• On-call responsibilities are divided equally among staff in the same role; travelers are expected to begin taking call after 1-2 weeks on unit,• A charge nurse, specialty leads, and an on-site house supervisor (available 24/7) are available as resources,• RNs at this CommonSpirit facility in Arizona must pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam before an offer can be confirmed,• A Pass/Fail sterile technique test (Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes) is administered on the first day of orientation,
