They should have deep hands-on experience with Java + Kafka + MongoDB and be comfortable designing systems that operate across Azure and IBM cloud environments.The candidate should be able to participate in a system/design discussion, explain architectural decisions, identify scalability and reliability risks, and propose practical solutions.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Kafka, MongoDB, and multi-cloud environments to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications.The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on Java development experience, solid distributed systems knowledge, and the ability to design reliable, high-performing solutions across cloud environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and document enterprise software applications and technical solutions.Develop scalable backend applications using Java.Build and maintain event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.Work with MongoDB for high-volume and distributed data requirements.Design and implement solutions across multi-cloud environments, including Azure and IBM Cloud.Apply Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and established Java design patterns.Design enterprise integrations and distributed systems using appropriate integration patterns.Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical and production issues.Identify and address technical debt, scalability, latency, reliability, and durability challenges.Design solutions with strong focus on security, resiliency, performance, and maintainability.Develop prototypes and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into enterprise architecture.Collaborate with architects, technical leads, product teams, and other engineers.Mentor junior engineers and promote strong coding and engineering practices.Work within Agile development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and XP.Required Skills7–9 years of overall software development experience5+ years of Java development3+ years of Apache Kafka3+ years of MongoDB3+ years of multi-cloud experienceHands-on experience with AzureWorking knowledge of IBM CloudStrong understanding of distributed and enterprise application architectureStrong object-oriented design and development skillsExperience with Java Design PatternsExperience with Enterprise Integration Design PatternsExperience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsDesign & Development ExperienceObject-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)UMLTDDJava Design PatternsEnterprise Integration Design PatternsDisaster Recovery Design and DevelopmentScalable and resilient system designMethodologiesAgileScrumKanbanXP
