The Benefits Manager is responsible for the administration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the company’s employee benefits programs. This role partners closely with the Director of Compensation and Benefits, HR leadership, Finance, and third‑party vendors to ensure benefits offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business needs.This is a remote position based out of Atlanta, GA, and is a hands‑on role that balances strategic input with day‑to‑day benefits management, employee support, and vendor coordination.Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Director of Compensation and Benefits.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the day‑to‑day administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.Evaluate existing benefits programs, policies, and procedures and recommend enhancements to improve competitiveness, cost efficiency, and employee experience.Support the annual benefits renewal process, including working with brokers and vendors, reviewing plan designs, and assisting with cost analysis and budgeting.Ensure all benefits programs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA), partnering with legal or external advisors as needed.Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors and third‑party administrators; resolve escalated employee issues and manage ongoing vendor relationships.Lead employee benefits communications, including open enrollment planning, presentations, materials, and employee education initiatives.Support employee wellness initiatives and assist with the rollout and administration of wellness programs.Prepare benefits‑related reports, metrics, and summaries for the Director of Compensation and Benefits, HR leadership, and Finance.Provide guidance to HR partners and managers on benefits‑related questions and employee situations.Participate in benefits benchmarking and surveys to assess market competitiveness.Scope and LevelMid‑level individual contributor roleReports to the Director of Compensation and BenefitsOwns benefits execution with moderate strategic inputMay mentor or guide HR coordinators or analysts, but does not typically have direct reportsSkills, Education, and CompetenciesBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a combined compensation and benefits roleWorking knowledge of employee benefits compliance and regulationsExperience partnering with brokers and benefits vendorsProficiency in MS Office (Excel required for reporting and analysis)Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRISStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain benefits programs to employeesCertifications such as PHR, SHRM‑CP, or CEBS preferredPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.This is a remote position, based in Atlanta, GAWork is primarily performed in a home office environmentFrequently required to sit, stand, walk, hear, see, and communicateClose vision required for computer and data review workLight to moderate lifting may be requiredOccasional travel to corporate offices, customer sites, or field locations may be requiredIn alignment with Climate Pros’ values and applicable laws, we are committed to promoting pay transparency and equity.
