MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer II to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter’s effectiveness. If you enjoy working on a highly collaborative and dynamic team and want to make a difference for the warfighter, then we would love to have you on our team!Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToDesign and implement complex network solutions that drive innovationLead troubleshooting efforts to resolve advanced network issues quickly and efficientlyOptimize network performance and security to meet the highest standardsMentor junior network engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering growthParticipate in strategic planning to shape the future of our network infrastructureProvides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networksPlans, designs, installs, maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, modifies, and supports network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availabilityMinimum QualificationsBA/BS degree or equivalent education and years of experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree5+ years of experience in network engineeringIn-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols like BGP, OSPF, and VLANsExperience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPSExperience in multi-level security networks including cross-domain solutionsPreferred QualificationsRelevant certifications such as CCNP or equivalentMaster’s DegreeKnowledge of automation and scripting tools like Python or AnsibleFamiliarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-VProject management skills to lead initiatives from start to finishAbility to work independently and take ownership of critical projectsClearance RequirementsMust have a current and active TS/SCI clearance.Physical RequirementsThe person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
