Private Investment Funds Associate

A leading global law firm is seeking a mid-level associate (4–6 years of experience) for its Funds & Investment Management practice in Los Angeles.The group advises sponsors, asset managers, and institutional investors across the full lifecycle of private investment funds, with a strong emphasis on fund formation as well as related investment management and regulatory matters.Representative work includes:Private equity, credit, and real assets fund formation and structuringSponsor-side fund launches, including flagship and follow-on vehiclesDrafting and negotiating partnership agreements, offering documents, and related fund documentationStructuring carried interest, co-investment, and incentive arrangementsFund regulatory, compliance, and ongoing investment management mattersAdvising on secondary and liquidity solutions involving fund interestsThe firm offers top-of-market compensation, exposure to sophisticated fund formation and investment management work, direct sponsor and institutional client contact, lean deal teams, and a highly collaborative platform with strong mid-level responsibility and development opportunities.Ideal Candidate Profile:Class Year 2019–2021 (4–6 years of experience)Excellent academic credentialsExposure to investment management and/or regulatory aspects of funds practiceStrong drafting, project management, and client-facing skillsPeer firm experience preferredCurrently practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm Please reach out if this opportunity aligns with your background and interests.
