We work in the office Tuesday - Thursday and remote on Mondays and Fridays.Description SummaryThe HR Generalist plays a critical role in supporting and scaling the people operations function at DC BLOX. Reporting to the VP of HR, this position is responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits administration, performance programs, and compliance.This role serves as a key partner to employees and managers, ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where they can take ownership and drive continuous improvement across HR operations.Essential DutiesHR OperationsOwn day-to-day administration of the HRIS (Rippling), ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee dataManage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experienceSupport payroll processing in coordination with HR leadership and external partnersAdminister employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiriesMaintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbookEmployee Experience & SupportServe as the first point of contact for employee HR-related questions, providing timely and accurate guidanceSupport employee engagement initiatives, programs, and company eventsCoordinate logistics for company meetings, including All-Hands and team gatheringsPromote employee development resources, including management of the LinkedIn Learning platformRecruiting SupportAssist with recruiting efforts during periods of increased hiringCoordinate interviews, including scheduling and candidate communicationPartner with hiring managers and recruiters to ensure a smooth candidate experiencePerformance & HR ProgramsSupport performance management cycles, including system administration, communication, and trackingAssist in the execution of HR programs and initiatives that support employee development and retentionLeave AdministrationAdminister employee leave programs including FMLA, parental leave, and medical leaveManage leave documentation, compliance, and tracking within HR systemsServe as a resource to employees navigating leave processesCompliance & ReportingMaintain accurate HR documentation to support compliance and internal auditsPartner with Security & Compliance teams on SOC 2 and other audit requirementsSupport HR reporting and tracking of key people metricsEnsure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and company policiesAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport ongoing process improvements across HR operationsAssist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives as neededOther duties as assignedEducation/Training/Experience2+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related fieldHands-on experience supporting employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, benefits, payroll)Experience working with HRIS platforms (Rippling preferred)Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment regulationsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindsetProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams)Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting recruiting or talent acquisition processesExposure to compliance and audit requirements (e.g., SOC 2 or similar frameworks)Experience in a high-growth, technology, or infrastructure environmentFamiliarity with additional HR tools and systems (e.g., ATS, LMS platforms)
