This role is focused on preconstruction estimating for civil construction projects, requiring strong analytical capability, detailed quantity takeoffs, cost modeling, and close coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver accurate, competitive proposals in a fast-paced environment.Requirements of the Civil Construction Estimator:• Experience preparing cost estimates for civil construction scopes such as sitework, grading, utilities, demolition, or trucking• 5+ years of estimating experience within civil or heavy construction environments• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry certifications• Relevant estimating or construction-related certifications preferred• Strong quantitative aptitude and advanced Excel proficiency• Familiarity with unit pricing, cost controls, and bid analysis• Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents• Experience with estimating and takeoff software such as B2W Estimate/HeavyJob and AGTEKResponsibilities of the Civil Construction Estimator:• Develop detailed cost estimates through comprehensive quantity takeoffs and scope analysis• Manage the full bid lifecycle, from document review through proposal submission• Coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors and perform cost comparisons• Prepare clear, detailed proposal documentation aligned with project requirements• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure estimates meet technical and financial objectives• Maintain organized estimate files, pricing databases, and historical cost records• Support additional preconstruction and estimating initiatives as neededIf this sounds like you or someone you know, click Apply or share the job today!Disclaimer: By applying to a position at Vale Group, you consent to receive SMS text messages about this or related jobs.
