Exciting Locum Tenens Opportunity for Advanced Endoscopist in North Carolina MD Staff is excited to present an exceptional locum tenens opportunity for a skilled Gastroenterologist with Advanced Endoscopy training. This unique position offers coverage for a reputable practice located near Beulaville, North Carolina. We are seeking board-certified candidates with proficiency in EUS and ERCP to join our dedicated team. Coverage Details: The locum tenens assignment requires availability for one week per month starting in January, with ongoing opportunities during recruitment. Shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. Practice Highlights: Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a distinguished 974-bed level 1 trauma center. Well-established practice featuring 5 experienced gastroenterologists and 1 Nurse Practitioner. Anticipated daily procedure volume: 5-8 procedures. Procedures conducted Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, across 4 dedicated procedure rooms. GI team operates as a consult service, with the hospitalist handling admissions. GI Fellow takes first call 24 hours per day, with some advanced GI night and weekend call as needed (can be done from home). Procedures encompass ERCP, EGD, Colonoscopy, and EUS. State-of-the-art outpatient endoscopy center and newly renovated inpatient GI lab. Equipped with new high-definition scopes and fluoroscopy equipment. BLS and ACLS certifications are required, and the provider will not respond to codes. Average inpatient census: 4.
