Distribution Systems Engineer

Title : Distribution Systems Engineer (Telecoms Technicians)Location: 100% remote on ESTDuration: 6+ Month Contract, with potential to extend/convert full-timePay rate- $60-$65/hr on W2Need someone who is eligible or already have active Secret or Top Secret Clearance  Job Description:.  This role supports large‑scale network modernization projects, but it is not a traditional hands‑on network engineering position. We are seeking technical designers who focus on documentation, diagramming, and turning survey data into accurate drawings — not network configuration or high‑level engineering. Candidates who enjoy detailed, behind‑the‑scenes design work will be the best fit.  ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain network architecture diagrams and layouts using Visio and/or CADDevelop drawings for:  As‑built and future‑state network designs / Fiber, OSP, and pathway layouts/ Power systems, UPS, and electrical infrastructure.Update and proof drawings based on:  Power, fiber, and infrastructure surveys /Wi‑Fi and general network assessmentsDocument infrastructure across multiple U.S. Air Force basesConsolidate survey and design data into Technical Refresh documentationSupport engineering and implementation teams with accurate, validated designs Requirements: Minimum of 5-10+ years of applicable experience in DS engineering (network infrastructure/switching, fiber and OSP design, power systems/UPS, Wi-Fi or RF-related infrastructure) Experience with Visio and/or CAD for network, fiber, OSP or power designing Must be able to translate field survey data in clean and accurate drawings Focus skills on fiber splicing and fiber testing Must have proficient communication skills Strong systems/network designing experience Candidates must hold/eligible to obtain either an active Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
