a contract manufacturer in the capital equipment space in Dracut is looking for a Welder, Contract to permanent 1st shift, ,7-3:30, looking for 5+ years Tig welding, stainless Steel piping. Welder III – Precision Fabrication We’re looking for an experienced TIG Welder who takes pride in high-quality work and thrives in a precision manufacturing environment. This role focuses on stainless steel welding across a variety of components including piping systems, tubing, and structural assemblies. If you’re detail-oriented and comfortable working to tight tolerances, this is a strong opportunity to join a solid team. Perform TIG welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions Weld stainless steel components including pipe, tube, and structural parts Execute both standard and complex welds, including root penetration welds subject to inspection (Magnaflux, X-ray, pressure testing) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols to determine proper welding methods Set up and calibrate welding equipment, including power supply and weld parameters (amps, volts, etc.) Perform tack welds and full welds on materials ranging from 1/8 to over 1/4 thickness Work with fixturing and precision setups to ensure dimensional accuracy Use measuring tools and instruments to verify specifications Maintain weld logs and support process or peer inspections
