Payroll Specialist
Payroll Specialist -Chicago Office (downtown) – Hybrid Responsible for full cycle payroll administration, efficiently and effectively. Assist Human Resources with various HR related responsibilities and activities.Administer full cycle multi-state, semi-monthly and special payrolls. Conduct audit to ensure accuracy of entries.Collect, maintain and manage all current and future payroll changes and input change at appropriate time.Troubleshoot and resolve all payroll discrepancies; consult with ADP or HR staff as necessary to assist in the process.Research and implement required tax set up in ADP for new states in conjunction with completing and filing appropriate registration forms for the state’s Department of Revenue and Unemployment agencies.Research and provide the HR team with the appropriate employer poster requirements for each new state in which we enter.Manage all agency notices. Ensure the Company is compliant and that the appropriate taxes are being collected and disbursed by ADP as necessary. Maintain/file/scan all HR and payroll paperwork and files.Provide Finance with copies of semi-monthly statements and invoices upon receipt.Assist employees with payroll and I-pay Statement related questions.Complete employment verifications.Coordinate and administer Transit program. Assist with new hire and termination paperwork.3-5 years+ of multi-state payroll experience required. ADP Workforce Now payroll software and Human Resources experience preferred. College degree in related field preferred. Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must have excellent communication skills with a professional service-oriented demeanor and the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities. Word and Excel skills required. Must be very detail oriented and have the ability to handle and maintain confidential material. Must have good aptitude with numbers.
