E. King High SchoolAdditional Information: Show/HidePrimary Purpose:To provide supervision and support for students assigned to In-School Suspension (ISS) at C.E. King High School. The ISS Aide ensures a structured, quiet, and respectful environment conducive to learning while assisting students in completing academic assignments and supporting behavior interventions aligned with campus and district expectations.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredValid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Two years of experience working with students preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to manage student behavior in a calm and consistent mannerAbility to work independently and under supervisionMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Supervision & SupportMonitor students assigned to ISS throughout the school day.Ensure a safe, quiet, and orderly environment that minimizes distractions.Supervise student arrival, meals, restroom breaks, and dismissal procedures.Academic SupportDistribute and collect assignments provided by classroom teachers.Assist students with completing assignments and monitor academic progress.Maintain accurate records of student attendance and work completion.Behavior ManagementReinforce appropriate student behavior in line with campus and district expectations.Report incidents of misbehavior or non-compliance to campus administration.Provide feedback to students on behavior and academic progress in a constructive manner.Communication & DocumentationCommunicate regularly with teachers, counselors, and administrators regarding student progress.Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of student behavior and participation.Assist in the preparation of reports related to ISS operations as needed.Campus DutiesParticipate in campus trainings, meetings, and professional development.Perform other duties as assigned by the campus principal or designee.Working Conditions:Maintain emotional control under stress.Work with frequent interruptions.Moderate standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.Salary is commensurate with experienceMinimum Salary $20,959Works 187-day AssignmentPlease note that this role requires in-person attendance and is not eligible for remote work.Sheldon ISD will accept applications for this position through May 10, 2026.
