Home Health Care ServicesElementary and Secondary SchoolsChild Care ServicesManufacturing and Reproducing Magnetic and Optical MediaUsed Merchandise RetailersDays per Year: 187Min:$20,944Mid:$24,639(Based on the 2025-2026 Pay Scale)JOB TITLE: Bilingual Pre Kindergarten-4 Aide Elementary School (2026-2027 School Year)REPORTS TO: Campus PrincipalWAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-ExemptPAY GRADE: Para 1PRIMARY PURPOSE:The Bilingual Pre-Kindergarten Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher in the supervision and instruction of bilingual pre kindergarten students.All employees of SISD are expected to act with integrity, support and demonstrate our core values, communicate in a clear and respectful manner and seek to continuously improve self-performance and processes.QUALIFICATIONS:Required:HS Diploma from an accredited institution andIndependent School District's NCLB test in the area of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics (Tests are administered after the recommendation for hire) and must obtain an Educational Aide CertificationCompletion of at least two years of study at an institution or higher defined as 48 hours of college coursework andMust obtain Educational Aide CertificationBilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficientlyPreferred:* 1 yr job related experienceSPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:Ability to work well with childrenAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to correspond (written and oral) in English and their home languageMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Assist teacher in implementing lesson plans.Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.Asst teacher with maintenance of classroom equipment, student files and records.Assist teacher in conferring with parents and/or appropriate personnel for the purpose of assisting in evaluation of students' progress.Assist teacher with translations when neededProvide orientation and assistance to the substitute teacher when the Bilingual PK teacher is absent.Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.Perform all other duties as assigned.WORKING/SPECIAL CONDITIONS:The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following:Job may require prolonged periods of time sitting, moderate standing, stooping, bending, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. May require some lifting no more than 10lbs.
