Role SummaryOakwell is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support active construction projects in healthcare and institutional campus facilities using our Transparent Project Delivery model in Atlanta, Georgia.This is a construction project leadership role, working closely with the Senior Project Manager to manage cost, schedule, safety, and quality on complex projects. The Assistant Project Manager is involved in day‑to‑day project execution, not just documentation—supporting field operations while maintaining strong project controls.Key ResponsibilitiesWork directly with the Senior Project Manager to support overall construction executionActively use and experiment with AI and machine‑learning tools to work faster, identify risk earlier, and improve decision‑making across construction cost, schedule, safety, and QA/QC. Assist with open‑book cost control, including: Target Cost trackingForecast vs. actual analysisContingency and change trackingSupport construction scheduling, milestone tracking, and recovery planning Coordinate Change Order Requests (CORs) related to construction scope Assist with safety oversight: Support contractor safety programsTrack incidents, corrective actions, and permit requirementsSupport QA/QC control: Monitor quality inspections and first‑time‑quality expectationsTrack deficiencies, rework, and closeout itemsMaintain PMIS including RFIs, submittals, procurement, risk logs, and decision logs Support construction through Validation, Active Construction, Commissioning, and Turnover Assist with startup, commissioning, punch list, and closeout documentationSpecific QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field2–4 years of experience on active construction projectsComfortable working with field teams, superintendents, and trade partnersComfortable working within project management software like Procore, Autodesk or othersStrong understanding of construction cost, schedule, safety, and qualityHealthcare or MEP‑heavy construction experience preferredMotivated to grow into a Project Manager role
