This role ensures compliance with all applicable municipal, county, and landlord regulations while coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals prior to project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch zoning regulations, permitting requirements, municipal codes, and related fees for project sitesReview property details, local jurisdictions, and landlord or developer requirementsEvaluate construction and signage plans to ensure compliance with local regulationsPrepare Site Assessment Reports (SARs) that include permits, site plans, maps, and fee informationShare project information with internal teams, clients, architects, landlords, and vendorsCoordinate with installation vendors and engineering partners to support permit approvalsPrepare, submit, and track permit applications to help keep projects on scheduleCommunicate with sales teams, project managers, and clients regarding permitting and code requirementsReview signage SARs to ensure timelines and project requests are properly managedAttend kickoff meetings and occasional variance hearings when neededSupport special permitting projects, including national signage rollouts and window wrap programsAssist project management teams with additional documentation requests, such as surveys or compliance informationProcess permitting-related purchase orders through the company ERP systemMaintain organized and accurate project records throughout the permitting processCore SkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organization and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesAnalytical thinking and research skillsQualificationsRequiredProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and understand technical documents and plansStrong multitasking and time management abilitiesPreferredExperience with permitting, zoning, construction, or signage projectsFamiliarity with municipal codes and permitting processesExperience using ERP or project management softwarePermitting Specialist II Advanced RoleThe Permitting Specialist II is a more experienced role responsible for handling complex permitting projects independently.
