We create life insurance and annuity products that protect consumers' retirements, and are simplified for distributor partners and financial professionals to sell and service.Kuvare family of companies:Retail Annuity and Life Insurance Solutions:United Life Insurance CompanyGuaranty Income Life Insurance CompanyLincoln Benefit LifeInstitutional Insurance:- Kuvare Life ReBespoke Insurance Solutions:- Ignite PartnersAbout the roleWorks with the Actuarial, Risk, and Investment teams to develop strategies for optimizing the asset liability management (ALM) position of the company and affiliatesManaging the ALM and liquidity risk profile of the companiesOversee quarterly asset model builds in AXIS for use in quarterly actuarial projections for the company and affiliatesThis is a critical partner with actuarial, finance, investments (KSI), risk, legal, operations, tax, and our strategic external parties.What you'll doDevelop ALM methodology memos, change memos, management presentations on topics as neededLiaise with Investment team to produce and provide investment or reinvestment strategies to other areas (e.g. business plan, embedded value, cash flow testing, stress testing, etc.)Build and maintain innovative tools to assist in result analysisAssist in the development of optimization macros, alternative strategies, and recommend methods to improve hedging and ALM efficienciesDevelop, manage, and maintain controls over ALM systems (e.g. AXIS models)Provide Investment compliance reporting to third parties (e.g. reinsurers)Measure, monitor, and report on ALM results to ensure compliance with guidelines and limits - develop remediation plans as neededMonitor hedge position and results to ensure process is robust, effective, and in compliance with policiesFor each monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting period, review and challenge the investment data received. Review all data for accuracy while also gaining an understanding of underlying drivers of investment results and communicate to senior managementProvide investment-related assumption and cash flow reliance statements for Appointed ActuaryUpon request, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.QualificationsExperienceBachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related fieldsFSA, MAAA, with equivalent experience preferred10+ years of life insurance experience preferred with range of experience in actuarial fields such as product management, valuation, modeling, financial reporting, and systemsSkills/Competencies Deep understanding and up-to-date knowledge of ALM techniques and Capital Management strategiesCritical thinking and sound judgementExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively with and lead cross-functional teamsSelf-starter and strong entrepreneurial spiritDemonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure in a tight timeframe
