Graduate Assistant for Strength and ConditioningUniversity of Dubuque1 PositionsID: VVRzNXEvdHRlN3ZnYVUrPosted On 04/21/2025Refreshed On 05/24/2026Job OverviewThe University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Strength and Conditioning for the 2026-2027 term, with a potential renewal for 2027-2028.The University of Dubuque is a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the American Rivers Conference.Primary Responsibilities:Analyze performance and instruct athletes in strength and conditioning techniques and strategies in preparation for and during athletic competitionsAssist the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, and equipmentAssist program with all phases of competitive NCAA and ARC compliant recruitingAssist with monitoring academic progress of all student-athletes on the team, in connection with the coaching staff, compliance coordinator and athletic directorExecute practice and game planning/evaluation, including video coordination and breakdownManage equipment usagePerform other duties as assigned in support of the University's MissionRequirements:Bachelor's degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters' programWorking knowledge of NCAA Division III and Conference rules and complianceValid driver's licenseFlexibility with schedule (ex. evening or weekend commitments)High level of organization and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft OfficePrior coaching experience and/or prior experience as an athleteEffective communication skills; both orally and writtenProficiency in graphic design, social media, video, and all relevant softwareAll graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week. This position is eligible for a stipend.
